To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law (Section 326 of the USA/PATRIOT Act of 2001) requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
StateTrust Investments, Inc, falls under the definition of “financial institution”.
What this means to you:
When you open an account with StateTrust Investments, Inc. will ask you for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you.
We may also ask to see your driver’s license, passport or other identifying documents.
This information may be compared to information obtained through third party sources, as permitted by law. If we cannot verify this information your account may be restricted and/or closed and StateTrust Investments, Inc. will not be responsible for any losses nor damages (including, but not limited to, lost opportunities) may you incur.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter of greatest importance as we all make every effort to combat terrorism, the funding of terrorism and other illegal money laundering schemes.
