With the expansion of the middle class in BRICs* countries, in particular China and India, spending and consumption power will increase. Rising incomes in the world’s two most populous countries will have a big impact on global demand. In the last decade alone, the number of people with income greater than $6,000 and less than $30,000 has grown by hundreds of millions. In the next 10 years, this number will rise even more.
